Unclaimed prizes

Winners of Premium Bonds prizes are notified when they win, but sometimes customers relocate or update their contact information without informing NS&I. This can result in unclaimed prizes, particularly if they've chosen to receive their prizes by cheque.

In Dorset, there are 28,351 prizes worth £942,100 that are yet to be claimed. The oldest unclaimed prize is worth £25 and is from the February 1964 draw. The largest unclaimed prize in Dorset is worth £10,000 and was from the November 2019 draw.

In Wandsworth, there are 20,702 unclaimed prizes worth £699,150. The oldest unclaimed prize is worth £25 and is from the November 1963 draw. The largest unclaimed prize in Wandsworth is also worth £10,000 and is from the June 2022 draw.

The quickest way for customers to receive their prizes is to have them paid automatically into their bank or reinvested into more Premium Bonds. Over 90% of prizes are now paid this way as it’s faster and more secure than waiting for a cheque. Customers can find out how to change here. Customers who think they may have an unclaimed Premium Bonds prize can easily check by using NS&I’s online prize checker or the prize checker app.
